"Queen Natalija II" Eastern Beauty Oolong
"Queen Natalija II" Eastern Beauty Oolong
It takes much more effort to grow, harvest and produce a batch of Eastern Beauty Oolong tea leaves. After the effort to grow pesticide-free and hand pick just the bug-bitten leaves, only a small quantity of tea is produced.
This lot of Eastern Beauty Oolong continues the lineage that garnered two (2) AVPA Gold Medals in 2018 and 2019. The tender young leaves and buds of the classic Qing Xin Da Mou cultivar are handled with care to preserve the appearance of the beautiful fine curled leaves.
The producers recommends brewing Queen Natalija II with a 195F/90°C water temperature to fully release the citrus fruit aroma that is characteristic of this tea. This tea also makes a delicious cold brew for a refreshing beverage on a warm day. With its velvety hints of honey, mango and spice, this is the tea of choice for a post-dinner dessert pairing.

Brewing Recommendations
Brewing Recommendations
Serving Size: 3-5g per 100ml of purified water.
Ideal Brewing Vessel: Porcelain tea pot or gaiwan; or high-fired, high profile thin clay teapot; or Ethoz Tea Brewer for cold brew
Gong Fu Style Steeping: Boil water to 212F/100C and then wait for the water to stop bubbling before pouring the water down the inside of the brewing vessel, not directly on the leaves. Brew for 30 seconds, then replace the lid and pour the liquor into a gong dao bei (fairness pitcher) before apportioning into tea cups. Add 15 seconds for each subsequent brew. Remove the lid of the brewing vessel to allow the leaves to cool between steepings. Flash brewing in this manner ensures this tea can be brewed up to 5+ times and brewed again the following morning if left overnight.
Western Style Brewing: Steep 3g tea in a mug with a steeping basket, or tea pot with strainer, for 2 minutes. Water temperature should be 195F/91C.
Cold Brew: Place 4g of tea in a Ethoz Tea Brewer or other tea brewing vessel. Fill with 450ml purified water and refrigerator overnight.
