Heart Opener Lavender Red Tea is a red tea blended with heart-opening cacao nibs and rose petals.  The first brew offers a dark bitter Belgian chocolate palate, a sweet whiskey aroma, and a light rose finish.  Cacao gives the sensation of the heart opening, filling with love, and opens our connection with ourselves and others.  Rose and cacao are herbal aphrodisiacs, bringing about feelings of pleasure and bliss.  Madagascar vanilla beans sweeten the mood, and lavender buds provide comfort and relaxation.

Cacao contains theobromine, a substance that is released into the blood stream and increases blood flow to the brain.  Focus and awareness are piqued by the ample oxygen provided by the abundant blood flow.  Theobromine positively influences mood and state of alertness.

In addition to having a positive effect on moods, cacao is known to have high levels of antioxidants, anti-inflammatory agents, and vitamins and minerals.

Heart Opener Lavender Red Tea is high in caffeine and is best enjoyed as a morning kick or an afternoon recharge.  Drink it as a hot chocolate-type beverage after a 3-5 minute steep session, or top it with steamed and frothed milk for a heart opening latte (see Brewing Recommendations).
