Master Lin's Hand-thrown Floating Scorpion Handle Black Smoke Pan Hu Tea Pot 140ml

This hand-thrown purple clay tea pot is from one of our favorite Taiwanese potters, Master Lin. It features a smoked black finish with a radial pattern on the lid and body. This is a 140ml Pan Hu style pot with a flat lid and a unique twist on a classic - the gorgeous floating handle in the shape of a scorpion tail.

The larger opening at the tip of a pigeon-beak style spout provides a fast pour of less than 7 seconds. The walls are very even, 2.5 millimeters thick throughout thanks to Master Lin's exceptional craftsmanship. The dense surface structure of the smoked black finish, together with the expanding belly design - the body of the pot gets wider in the bottom half before tapering back - makes this a great teapot for any type of rolled oolong. The large 45mm opening makes loading tea and cleaning a breeze.

This pot is an exquisitely beautiful yet fully functional example of why Master Lin deserves his title.
