"Queen Judy" Peppermint Sencha Green
"Queen Judy" Peppermint Sencha Green
Queen Judy Peppermint Sencha Green is a refreshing combination of organic peppermint and high quality Japanese sencha green tea. Sencha's fresh vegetal taste and peppermint's sweet cooling mint blend into an infusion of pure bliss. The combination of flavors tastes like fresh peppermint sprigs plucked straight from the garden. This tea awakens the mind and uplifts the spirit.
The inspiration for this tea blend came from my friend who is a peppermint green tea enthusiast. She is not only a former high school prom queen, but also the present day queen of the shuffleboard court in two states. All hail Queen Judy!

Brewing Recommendations
Brewing Recommendations
Serving Size: 5g per 100ml of purified water.
Ideal Brewing Vessel: Glass brewer with strainer, Porcelain tea pot with strainer, or a metal mesh strainer in a tea cup.
Steeping: Boil water to 175F/79C and pour the water down the inside of the brewing vessel, not directly on the leaves. Brew for 1 minute, then replace the lid and pour the liquor into a gong dao bei (fairness pitcher) before apportioning into tea cups. Because the most flavorful elixir is at the bottom of the tea pot, be sure every drop of tea is poured into the pitcher. Remove the lid from the brewing vessel between steepings. For the second steeping, brew only 30 seconds. For the third steeping, brew at a lower water temperature (~140F) for 2+minutes.
Cold Brewing: Place 10g of tea in a pitcher. Pour 4 cups of cold, purified water down the side of the pitcher, not directly on the tea leaves. Can be enjoyed within two hour or brewed overnight for a stronger flavor.
